Zoe Saldana shares why her sons aren’t ready for ‘Avatar’ yet

Zoe Saldana got honest about why her kids have not watched the Avatar films yet.

In a recent chat with E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 1, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that she wants her sons to be fully prepared before watching the film.

“I want them to be able to experience Avatar when they are absolutely ready,” the 47-year-old mom of three kids: twins Cy and Bowie, 11, and Zen, 8, whom she shares with husband Marco Perego.

Zoe went on to say, “You know, my boys are gentle. They’re beautiful flowers. I mean, they’re resilient like you wouldn’t imagine but they pace themselves and I respect them for that.”

However, the actress revealed that her 11-year-olds do watch Adam Sandler’s movies as guilty pleasures.

“They’re into Adam Sandler movies, which are sometimes not that appropriate for 11-year-olds.”

Zoe also shared that her kids have watched some of her other work.

“One of them has seen one of the Guardians movies,” the proud mom noted. “And they just started seeing the Transformers movies because they’re so into Transformers.”

But Zoe’s kids might watch the Avatar films in about a year, as she added, “My older ones told me ‘Like, in a year, mama, we’re going to be ready for Avatar, we promise.’ I’m like, okay.”
