Japanese Baba Vanga who predicted the Kobe Earthquake and 2011 tsunami says another spine chilling disaster to follow soon

Many people have gone viral for their uncanny ability to predict the future, and left others surprised yet shocked by their eerie accuracy. Previously, social media has heard the names of popular seers like Nostradamus, the Oracle of Delphi, and Baba Vanga who are some of the big mystics and visionaries that have become legends due to their shockingly accurate predictions of major world events.
But recently, a name from Japan has caught the public eye as her predictions have come true and those are etched in the annals of history as the biggest catastrophes in the world. What is sending chills down the bones is that she has predicted a big disaster later this year.
Ryo Tatsuki is a former manga artist, but she is not known for her artwork, but for the terrifying accuracy of her prophetic dreams. Since the 1980s, Tatsuki has been having recurring visions of global disasters, and she has diligently recorded these in a dream diary. In 1999, she compiled some of her most disturbing predictions in a manga titled ‘The Future I Saw’. Since its release, many of her prophecies have come to pass, which has left both believers and skeptics amazed.

One of Tatsuki’s most striking early predictions came in 1991 when she foresaw the death of Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of the rock band Queen. Her dream, which had a vivid image of the iconic rock star, came true just a few months later when Mercury tragically passed away from AIDS complications. This glimpse of her prophetic ability was the first time that her mysticism came to limelight only to predict the events that later came true.
In 1995, she made another chilling forecast in her dream journal, warning of a devastating earthquake in Kobe, Japan. The 1995 Kobe earthquake, which killed over 6,000 people, aligned with Tatsuki’s vision. However, her most widely known and terrifying prediction was of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. In her manga, Tatsuki wrote, “A huge catastrophe will occur in March 2011.” The devastation also included the Fukushima nuclear disaster, earning Tatsuki a cult following.

What is her recent prediction that is gaining popularity?

However, her most recent and most frightening prediction concerns an even larger disaster as she has predicted a mega-tsunami set to strike Japan and parts of Asia in July 2025.
According to Tatsuki, she saw a vision in which the Pacific Ocean south of Japan appeared to be ‘boiling’, with massive bubbles rising to the surface. She believes this signals an underwater volcanic eruption or a massive explosion on the ocean floor. The result could be catastrophic, a tsunami three times larger than the one in 2011. This mega-tsunami, she claims, could devastate Japan’s Pacific coastline and impact neighboring regions like the Philippines, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

Tatsuki’s dream gives a few key details that she believes will shape the event

In her dream, Ryo Tatsuki saw the disaster’s epicenter being somewhere in a diamond-shaped area, connecting Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. She thinks the ocean floor could shift so much that it might change the geography of the region, possibly linking islands like Taiwan, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. One of the most interesting parts of her vision was the sight of two dragon-like shapes moving toward the epicenter. Curious about this, she looked at underwater maps and found dragon-shaped formations near the Hawaiian Islands, which she believed could be related to the disaster she predicted.

Is there any evidence to support her prophecy?

There is no current geological evidence supporting the idea of a mega-tsunami in 2025. However, experts acknowledge that Japan is situated along the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is a region that has been known for frequent megathrust earthquakes and the potential for massive tsunamis. One such region of concern is the Nankai Trough, a fault zone off Japan’s southern coast. If a megathrust earthquake were to occur here, it could produce a tsunami over 30 meters high, similar to what Tatsuki has predicted.
